Clifford Smith (born March 2, 1971), better known by his stage name Method Man, is an American hip hop recording artist, record producer and actor from Staten Island, New York City, New York. He took his stage name from the 1979 film The Fearless Young Boxer, also known as Method Man. Method Man is perhaps best known as a member of the East Coast hip hop collective Wu-Tang Clan. He is also one half of the hip hop duo Method Man & Redman. In 1996, he won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, for «I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By», with American R&B singer-songwriter Mary J. Blige.

Method Man has appeared in the motion pictures Belly, How High, Garden State, and has had minor roles in The Wackness and Venom and Red Tails. On television, he and frequent collaborator, fellow East Coast rapper Redman, co-starred on the short-lived Fox sitcom Method & Red. Method Man has also had a recurring role on HBO's Oz, as Tug Daniels, and as Calvin «Cheese» Wagstaff on the HBO drama series The Wire.

Ever since the early 1990s, Raekwon has been a name synonymous with rap music around the world. Born Corey Woods, Raekwon was part of what is undeniably one of the most accomplished and celebrated hop hip groups of all time: the Wu Tang Clan. His ability to lay down killer raps and rhymes was at the centre of eveything the band did, and so his voice is forever tied with hits like ‘Protect Ya Neck’. It was in 1995 that Raekwon went solo and put out the seminal debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx that picked up praise from press and punters alike. A real sonic journey with classic narratives and essential hooks, it has supreme production from The RZA (a band mate in Wu Tang Clan) and it also showcased fellow bandmate Ghostface Killah, thus marking the start of Rae and Ghost, a collaborative project that has spawned many hits. Over the years Raekwon has followed up his early success with albums like Immobiliarity in 1999 and The Lex Diamond Story in 2003, as well as the sequel to his debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II.

Cappadonna born circa 1969 had known the Wu-Tang Clan members since grade school in Staten Island, and he had even decided at the age of 15 that he could write and perform lyrics. It wasn't until 1995, however, that he made his recorded debut, appearing on Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx album. With that album, he became an official member of the Wu-Tang Killa Beez, and from there on out, he frequently appeared on Wu records. In 1996, he played a large role on Ghostface Killah's Ironman. During 1997, his Wu affiliation continued, as he rapped on the Clan's second album, Wu-Tang Forever. Cappadonna's solo debut, The Pillage, finally appeared in March 1998. Like any Wu project, the record featured RZA as the executive producer and cameos from a number of other Wu members, including Method Man, U-God, and Raekwon. As the sixth Wu solo project, the album was an instant success upon its release, debuting at number three on the charts. A sophomore effort, The Yin and the Yang, followed in early 2001. His third and latest album, The Struggle, was released on Code:Red in 2003. The legendary MC remained active in the following years releasing mix-CDs, doing tours and joining Ghostface Killah’s Theodore Unit. But his official comeback came at the end of 2007 on the Wu-Tang Clan’s fifth studio album 8 Diagrams. Cappa blessed the opening cut with an extraordinary verse and showed up on two other songs. Cappadonna inked a deal with new indie label Chambermusik Records/Koch in 2008. Old and new fans have been asking for new Cappadonna ever since and on January 27, 2009, their wait will be over with the release of Slang Prostitution. Cappadonna is finally back!
