About the Show:
By definition, ingression is the the act of entering. We allow the viewer to enter our imagination and hopefully witness a glimpse of our soul that lay bare on the found object and materials used to in our exhibition.
About the artists:
Jeremiah is a self taught visual artist born in Philadelphia.
His method of painting uniquely combines acrylic, epoxy, glitter, oil stick, and spray paint to create interesting compositions.
In his most recent work he hopes to convey a dialogue of «visual short stories» and a glimpse into his ever-changing imagination.
Naima Merella has been creating art for as long as she can remember. In high school she attended the MCPS Visual Arts Center where she studied various 2D mediums including painting, drawing and collage. She moved to Philadelphia where she earned a Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography from the University of the Arts. In addition to photography she studied printmaking and woodcarving. Her work is inspired by tactile mediums often combining different processes. She especially enjoys working in alternative photographic processes including encaustics, photo transfer and pinhole photography. She works in processes that straddle the line between control and unpredictability. She currently teaches kids art classes where she is constantly inspired by their endless imagination and creativity.
