When you look up at the moon, what does it evoke in you? Are you aware of her influence on your body, mind & emotions?

Join Meghan Dwyer and a circle of women on the Friday eve closest to the dark (or new) moon each month to ask for guidance in connecting to the deeply present wisdom this heavenly body has to bestow us. Discover why so many earth-based societies call her “Grandmother Moon”.

A few thousand years ago, societies lived in complete communion with the cosmos. The moon was worshiped as a manifestation of The Divine Feminine and women gathered together to celebrate this lunar energy residing outside them and within them. However the action-oriented, outwardly-focused nature (aka excess solar energy) of our modern times, has caused many women (and men) to forsake this feminine energy, becoming disconnected from each other and forgetting their inherent connection to the moon and its cycle. Mystic Moon is a creation in response to that separation.

You can expect each month to carry a different theme and flow through a sweet mix of any of the following elements: yoga, meditation, ceremony & ritual along with sharing, singing, dancing, journaling, & creating. (You never know what Grandma has in store!) Whether learning how to work with her cycles, realizing what else she represents, or about symbols and goddesses from ancient times, all will move in the spirit of sisterhood.

We will consider the moon’s phases as a map and her energy as a metaphor. By tuning into her waning and waxing nature, we remember that we too are always changing: she can teach us how to flow more easily with the ups & downs of life and live in the mystery of it all. By connecting to her light, we are reminded to “chill out before we burn out”: she can show us how to nurture ourselves, turn inward, listen to our intuition and ultimately, heal ourselves.

Bring a journal, pen and item for the moon altar

An altar item represents a part of yourself that you would like to honor or symbolizes an energy that you would like to call forth within yourself. It can be any object, but it is suggested that you bring something that you associate with lunar or feminine energy.
