Mercantile Home, a popular creative studio from Easton, PA, is taking its community based creative studio/shop concept on the road to Main Streets across the country, with it’s next stop in Lansdowne, PA from July 31st — Aug 6th. Mercantile Home owners/artists/husbands Ken Jones Jr. and Ron Morris are traveling to new communities across the country and opening a temporary “outpost” version of their playful studio/shop in surprise locations for one week at a time. Everything needed to create their Workshop/Store/Experience will be packed inside The Mobile Mercantile which they’ll drive into town at the start of the week. Along with making new creations inspired by their stay in Lansdowne, Jones and Morris are looking forward to meeting as many local community members as possible. They will host a free Repair & Share event and yarn spinning demonstration Thursday, August 3rd, as well as working on several community art projects which will be ongoing at their “outpost”. No previous creative skills are necessary to participate in any Mercantile Home project...and all levels of experience are encouraged to participate!
The Mobile Mercantile will be located in Lansdowne at 32 E. Baltimore Ave. from July 31st — August 6th. They will be open from 10am — 8pm daily, beginning Tuesday, August 1st.
The Lansdowne Economic Development will also be hosting a Creative Kick Off Event on Monday, July 31st from 6pm-8pm. Please stop by and join us!
