Broad Street United Methodist Church
36 E Broad St, Burlington, New Jersey 08016
Gerald Dickens is a great-great grandson of author Charles Dickens, and he performs a one-man show of “A Christmas Carol”, taking the part of twenty-six different characters in turn. The performance is unforgettable, as he brings to life all of the meaning of the original story. There will be two performances, 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017…
The Historic Broad Street United Methodist Church is celebrating its 247th anniversary this year in December and is the oldest congregation of Methodists in New Jersey. Seats are available both on the sanctuary floor and in the balcony, and seating will be general admission. Since the performance is not recommended for children under the age of 8, we will have free child care available for families with younger children. Mr. Dickens will be available for an hour after each show for pictures, autographs and to talk to guests. We will have free refreshments for everyone during that time.
The church is fully handicapped accessible. Mr. Dickens’ 2017 US Tour is being coordinated by Byers’ Choice, manufacturers of the collectible Caroler figurines. There will be beautiful hard-cover copies of “A Christmas Carol” available for sale which make wonderful gifts. In addition, we will have a collectible program for sale again this year designed and written by Mr. Dickens specifically for his 2017 tour. Last year was the first program in the collection and this is the second…
