Join us as we celebrate the rich history of paper milling in the township from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, August 12th.
Activities will be ongoing at the following locations:
--Newlin Grist Mill (219 South Cheyney Road) will host papermaking demonstrations by Richard Aldorasi and have displays of artifacts from archaeological excavations at the Trimble House, home of a paper mill owner.
--The Willcox Homestead (109 Ivy Mills Road), associated with the well-known Ivy Mills paper mill (now a ruin), will be open for tours.
--The Polecat Road House (194 Polecat Road), a paper mill worker’s home, will be open to the public and will feature a display of artifacts recovered from excavations onsite.
