Basic Sports Massage is an entry level hands on participatory class.

Covered in this class is:

Strokes of Sports Massage
Contraindications
Use of gels and lotions.
Pre and Post Event massage and the strokes used
Role playing at an event, learning what supplies to bring and how to set up
Maintenance Sports Massage between Events
Use of tools for Sports Massage
Stretching
How to market yourself to the sports world
This class is designed as an intro class with advanced class to follow.
The therapist will be comfortable working at a sports event after this class.
Come dressed in athletic wear ready to participate in some hands on work and have fun!
About the instructor:

Jim Early is a nationally certified (NCTMB) and specializes in Sports Massage, working with many college and university sports teams and athletes. He works with swimmers, runners, triathletes, tennis players, lacrosse players, water polo players, football players, bodybuilders and many other athletes, including weekend warriors.
