Glen Foerd on the Delaware
5001 Grant Ave, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19114
The 8th Annual Honey Festival kicks off at Glen Foerd on the Delaware, Thursday. This evening, our featured speaker will be Dr. John Cambridge from the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavillion.
While all three days of Honey Fest offer great information for beekeepers, this opening keynote talk is a «must see event» for the serious beekeeper.
Non- beekeepers and «wanna-be» beekeepers are always welcome!
The Honey Festival Event at Glen Foerd runs from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Our special speaker is just one of many activities that evening. Start Honey Festival 2017 with a bang and attend the entire event!
John's keynote topic is:

By some estimates, ~70% of pollination services for native plants in our area are provided by native solitary bees and not the honey bee. Pollination is an extremely important ecosystem services that insects provide. Let's take a look at the whole picture.
