New and current students, families, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and friends are invited to celebrate the start of the academic year at the Convocation Ceremony. We celebrate the College’s mission, and formally welcome new students from the Undergraduate College and the Schools of Graduate and Professional Students with the Cap & Gown Exercises. New students wear academic gowns and are presented with their caps by Rosemont’s president to symbolize their entrance into the College community.
On the 20th, please arrive at Rowitt Lobby in your gown at 2:00 p.m. to check-in. We ask you that you arrive early so that we can group you by program and distribute name cards. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m.
*Gowns will be distributed at the Bookstore in the Lower Level of Alumnae Hall. Your Student ID or Driver’s License is required when picking up your academic attire. Please note that only you may pick up your gown. The cost is covered by the College.*
