Philly Fall Nature Fest at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge features fun hands-on activities designed to keep the whole family active and outdoors. This totally free event allows people of all ages to connect with the great wild resources of our area, learn new skills and get involved in preserving our public lands and watershed.
This event of part of River Days, a 4-week celebration of the Delaware River watershed featuring 23 environmental education centers.
Activities include fishing, guided nature walks, kayak tours on Darby Creek, archery, live animals, and the trolley shuttle tours! Great food and live music! Come learn about PA wildlife and other environmental organization, including Bartram's Garden, Center for Aquatic Sciences, Audubon PA, PA Fish & Boat Commission, Delaware Museum of Natural History, Let's Go Outdoors, North American Butterfly Association, 500 Women Scientists, Darby Creek Valley Association, Pennsylvania State Parks, American Birding Association, East Coast Greenway Alliance, American Philosophical Society, Riverbend Environmental Education Center, and more!
