What is Monument Lab?
Monument Lab is a public art and history project from Mural Arts Philadelphia and curators Paul M. Farber and Ken Lum that will take place over 9 weeks (starting September 16th), at 10 parks and public spaces around Philadelphia, with 20 emerging and world-renowned artists. All to explore one central question: What is an appropriate monument for the city of Philadelphia?
Reflect on history. Imagine the future. Change the present.
Tickets are limited, so please get your tickets at link above now.
— Major support for Monument Lab projects staged in Philadelphia’s five squares has been provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage. An expanded artist roster and projects at five neighborhood sites have been made possible by a significant grant from the William Penn Foundation. Lead corporate sponsor is Bank of America.
