Wide World of Wizardry Potion-Off 2017 (Live Show)

Join us for Potion-Off 2017 as returning champ Severed Snipe takes on a newcomer from The Franklin Institute. Spells will be chosen at random as magic tries to tackle science. Whose «magic» will reign supreme?

Note: If you would like to see our this live show in our Musser Demonstration Theater, remember to grab a free ticket to the show at the Information Desk located adjacent to the box office!

OOLALA in the Fels Planetarium

Playing the Yule Ball are local cinematic space rockers OOLALA. They may not be the Weird Sisters, but even muggles will find magic in OOLALA's hook-laden funk-rock jams laced with psychedelic, glitter rock and heavy soul. Under the starry skies of the Fels Planetarium, OOLALA will seek answers to the cosmological mysteries that lie beyond our grasp through the power of rock and roll.

“Wizard School” is one of eleven amazing 21+ Science After Hours events at The Franklin Institute in 2017.

Hosted by The Franklin Institute, Science After Hours events are part of a series designed for adults ages 21 and up. Working with organizations across the city each evening features experiments, live demonstrations, and games around different themes providing a unique experience every month. Each evening includes access to many of the museum’s hands-on exhibitions as well as the opportunity to view the skyline and gaze at the stars from our rooftop observatory (weather permitting).
