OC87 Recovery Diaries is proud to announce a screening event for our moving, one-hour documentary film, OC87 Recovery Diaries. The event will be held at WHYY Studios (150 N. 6th Street, on Independence Mall in Philadelphia) on October 10th, from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Must RSVP: oc87recoverydiaries.com/screenings/
OC87 Recovery Diaries is a beautifully-constructed compilation of journeys of recovery, hope, and change, thoughtfully executed by directors Bud Clayman and Glenn Holsten. Join a young woman with Asperger's Syndrome find strength and peace through horses, a Marine with PTSD recover through boxing and jiu-jitsu, mental health workers at a psychiatric hospital gain compassion and empathy through theatre, and much more. Catch a 1 minute preview of the film here!
This film will be broadcast on WHYY-TV on October 18 at 8pm, and this screening event is celebrating that broadcast. Join us for a wonderful (free!) evening where you will enjoy refreshments, meeting the filmmakers and the film participants, hear speakers, watch a 25-minute sneak peak of the film, and engage in a talk-back with the filmmakers.
Come experience mental health storytelling at its best.
Special thank you to our film's sponsors Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, Rare Patient Voice, Friends Hospital, Fountain House Montgomery County Emergency Service, Steve and Arlene Cohen, and Roberta Clayman!
