Featured programming at Science After Hours: Spirits:

--«The Science of Séance» in Musser Demonstration Theater with The Franklin Institute's Traveling Science Show

The Victorian period was a time of burgeoning scientific discoveries, but it was spiritualism that ruled the day. From Faraday to ectoplasm, we will explore the science behind the mediums ability to “manifest the spirts”. No photographs please—the spirits prefer the dark.

*Note: Free tickets to the «The Science of Séance» show will be available on the museum's 3rd Floor begining at the start of the event.*

--«Tick or Treat: Gifts and Gimmicks in Insect Sex» in Franklin Theater with The Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion

Insect mating can be just as tricky as it is for humans...and sometimes more! Learn about all the weird things some bugs have to do to get a piece of the action.

--«Voodoo Lounge» in the Fels Planetarium

Drag your bones into the cavernous netherworld under the planetarium dome for some frightfully fun diversions emceed by your undead host, Blake Evan Sherman. Imbibe with your ghoulish friends while getting entertained out of your gourd!
