Get into the picture-taking zone!
led by R.A. Friedman
This four week workshop will explore both ideas and techniques to make you a stronger photographer. You’ll learn creative camera control hands-on, whether you shoot film or digital. Students will also learn inexpensive ways to get a pro-quality look via simple lighting techniques and inkjet photo printing. Photographers are encouraged to work outside of class and to bring images in for sharing and group feedback.
Students will need to provide their own digital or film camera. All other materials provided. All skill and experience levels welcome.
Photography basics is taught by RA Friedman, who teaches analog (film/darkroom) photography at the Pratt Institute in New York City. He lives in Philadelphia, regularly shoots with film and has a fondness as well as extensive knowledge of all types of film cameras.
