Charming Disaster is a musical duo based in Brooklyn, NY, formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the noir storytelling of Raymond Chandler, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write songs that tell stories about love, death, crime, ancient mythology, and the paranormal.
Miss Cantaloupe is a dream-rock group based out of Philadelphia, Pa. Each song is unique in the theatrical soundscape of their fairy-tale land, The Cantaloupe Kingdom
Jon Smith's Voyages is the solo project of Reading native Jon Paul Smith. Often compared to David Bowie, Queen, and Meat Loaf, the music from Jon Smith's Voyages encompasses theatrical elements throughout eclectic (and sometimes quirky) arrangements. The «band» is comprised only of Jon Smith, as he sings all vocals, plays over 15 instruments, and writes all the songs. With thoughtful lyrics, unique arrangements, and a dynamic vocal range, he's likely to captivate.
Erica Corbo is a human being who exists in no time. Being timeless, she is free to skip lightly between the stepping-stones of eras, across the stream of liquid space. Navigating through the waters in her time machine, Berta, Capt. Corbo lovingly collects innumerable snippets of myriad realities. Aided by her trusty co-pilot: Pietra Piano, her adept maintenance woman: Flora Flute, and her temperamental alter ego: Viva Voice, Erica stitches together these pieces of life that many thought would not match. As Berta climbs through time and skates through space, the Captain and her crew create an entirely new fabric, whose color is not visible on planet Earth, but can be seen clearly while drifting dreamily through interstellar space. That color is Truth.
“Pop music gem….Part cabaret diva, part steampunk traveler through space and time, Philly’s Erica Corbo creates an elaborate fiction around her I, America LP — fashioning herself as the captain of an interdimensional traveling vessel and crafting songs that she intends to stand alone as well as part of a greater story.” — WXPN’s the Key
