Sister Cities Park
18th & Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19103
Since 2012, photographer Erez Kaganovitz has taken over 1,000 portraits of the everyday people who fill the bustling streets of Tel Aviv. Together they comprise "Humans of Tel Aviv,” capturing the beauty of this city where Orthodox Jews rub shoulders with their more secular brothers and sisters, as well as Muslims, Christians, African refugees, drag queens and hipsters.
Throughout June, take a stroll through our public exhibition of “Humans of Tel Aviv” in Sister Cities Park to discover the diversity of Tel Aviv. Be sure to also join us for a special “Pairings on the Parkway” evening at 5:00 p.m. on June 7th, featuring Israeli singer-songwriter Hadar McNeil.
Since its founding, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has focused on supporting programs across all of Israel and strengthening the bridge between Greater Philadelphia and Israel. Since 1966, Philadelphia has maintained another special connection to Tel Aviv as one of our sister cities, a program overseen by Citizens Diplomacy International. The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is proud to partner with Citizens Diplomacy International in presenting “Humans of Tel Aviv.”
