WHAT IS BUILD-A-BAG?
More and more families in the North Penn School District need help each year in providing basic school supplies for their children. To help combat the problem, four community superpowers have formed an alliance to build backpacks filled with school supplies for students in need. With the help of the community, filled backpacks will be privately given to students by school staff at the beginning of the school year and throughout as needed.
The NPSD, NPSD Educational Foundation, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County and the Community Health & Youth Foundation have teamed up to partner with local businesses and organizations to bring this drive to life. Through these partnerships, supply collection sites will be designated throughout the summer across the community. At each collection site, you will find a bin to drop off backpacks and school supplies through August 10.
